Summary:
Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance, review, and processing
of accounting transactions.

Essential Functions:
• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
• Provide superior customer service, including answering all customer & vendor inquires
• Reconcile customer / vendor statements to QuickBooks ledger
• Input invoices / Bills into QuickBooks
• Prepare and review summary of Accounts Receivable for collections
• Prepare and review summary of Accounts Payable for payments
• Maintain all accounting transactions records
• Knowledge of basic accounting functions
• Proficiency in MS Office – especially Outlook and Excel
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt well to change

Preferred:
• Previous QuickBooks experience spreadsheets and files
• Knowledge of basic accounting functions
• Assist with monthly and year-end closings
• Prepare analysis of accounts as required
• Perform filing and copying
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Proficient in data entry
• Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, and Excel
• Good understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
• Prepare accurate reports in a timely manner
• Strong organizational, communication and time management skills.
• High degree of attention to detail and accuracy
• Maintain a professional, friendly and positive disposition
• Must be able to maintain absolute confidentiality and discretion
• Associate Accounting degree preferred
• Minimum of two years of accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting experience

Key responsibilities/functions:
• Manually enter invoices into QuickBooks
• Process employee expense reports
• Audit invoices to ensure proper coding and approval
• Reconciliations – perform, as appropriate, reconciliation of customer/vendor accounts, bank statements or detailed transactions.
